HICE
Summary
The HICE project is based around a Honda GX 160 engine powering a regular portable generator. We plan to investigate how various fuels affect the power output and efficiency of the engine. To do this, we have designed and are currently constructing a large, variable resistor bank to connect to the generator. By measuring the voltage across the resistor bank, we can calculate the power the engine is producing by applying P = IV, where V is the voltage across the resistor bank and I is the current through it.
